Get Started

The assessment fee is paid before discovery begins and becomes nonrefundable once that work starts. Within 180 days, it may be applied once toward an eligible Synertek migration project, managed-services onboarding, or first managed-services invoice.

Final scope and price are confirmed before work begins. A typical satellite office is $250 additional; each standard server or VM workload beyond five is $100 additional. More complex locations, applications, or dependencies receive a fixed custom quote before work expands.

Standard scope

Sized for a typical small-business environment

  • One primary business location
  • Up to 50 users and one Microsoft 365 tenant
  • Up to five physical servers or VM workloads across the organization
  • A cloud-readiness review of each workload: its role, dependencies, likely cloud destination, and high-level migration approach

Endpoint count does not drive this cloud-readiness assessment. The focus is the systems, workloads, and dependencies that determine the right migration path.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What if we decide not to move forward after the assessment?

The assessment is yours to keep. We'll give you an honest picture of your situation, and if the timing isn't right or the numbers don't make sense, we'll tell you that too.

How long does the assessment take?

Once we receive your completed intake questionnaire, we typically deliver the assessment within 5–7 business days. The intake itself can take some time to fill out thoroughly — we recommend setting aside 45–60 minutes, but you can save your progress and return to it.

What information do I need to provide?

We'll ask about your server models, network hardware, Microsoft licenses, number of users, and general business workflows. The intake questionnaire walks you through it step by step. If you're unsure about something, leave a note and we can follow up.

What if our environment is larger or more complex?

We confirm scope before work begins. A typical satellite office is $250 additional; each standard server or VM workload beyond five is $100 additional. A location with its own server environment, tenant, or complex connectivity—or an environment with specialized applications or unusual dependencies—receives a fixed custom assessment quote before any expanded work begins.

Can the assessment fee be applied to future work?

Yes. Within 180 days, the assessment fee may be applied once toward an eligible Synertek migration project, managed-services onboarding, or first managed-services invoice. It is not redeemable for cash or applicable to hardware, taxes, or third-party licensing.

Do you only work with businesses in Sacramento?

We're based in Sacramento but work with clients throughout California. The assessment process is entirely remote-friendly.
